A Storyteller is Born.

As I take on a new story, not about something as intimate and familiar as a memoir or even a book representing my art but instead I chose fiction, and while I am not ready to go in depth about the plot, I can say that it’s going to be a thriller. The protagonist, a character created out of whole cloth yet with aspects I am close to in that she is queer and a woman of trans origin, everything else about her will have to wait for when the… Read more A Storyteller is Born.

From Paintress to Writer.

So far in this new adventure in writing, I have over the past two years gotten my memoirs completed as well as adding the finishing touches on my art book. This is as I mention, new to me. I expertise, what I have done professionally since the early eighties was drawing and painting though it goes back much further. Over the past few years I began to feel less enthusiastic vis-à-vis painting, felt I had done what I set out to do since 2001 and just needed to explore a different… Read more From Paintress to Writer.

New Story in the works!

I started playing around with a story, it’s fiction, more akin, I think, as a crime-drama-supernatural-thriller ( I don’t know, lol ) about a series of gruesome murders that points to some wild animal with a taste for human flesh and who locals blamed on the Loup-Garou ( also known as a werewolf ). The protagonist is an introverted woman of trans origin living up in a mountainous of Quebec called Lanaudière she was raised on such folk tales and decides to solve a more recent string of similar murders… Read more New Story in the works!

When your view of the world looks different from how most perceive it, maybe it’s due to how you have always understood and interpreted things. It’s not a wrong approach, not a fault or mixed wiring in your brain or character, you are simply uniquely you. For a long time I had the notion that being an artist was the reason I often feel like an outsider but then I observe other artists, I don’t get that impression as some of them seem quite comfortable in social settings. Then I… Read more Outsider

A Trans memoir, a human story.

My memoirs, what I wrote of my life from the point of view of feeling trapped in the wrong body is influenced by all manner of things, among them is the book Conundrum which I read when I first began my transition.  One aspect I seem to have borrowed from her writings is that I have to some degree, lessened the trauma and pain I experienced throughout. This is in part because I wished to be encouraging of others who are going through similar life changing events and also it’s… Read more A Trans memoir, a human story.
