The Reviews Are In !

WONDERFUL READERS REVIEWS BELOW:

I couldn’t put this memoir down and looked forward to reading it every day until I sadly finished it. I think everyone should read this book. What a woman. She lovingly takes you through her journey from childhood to now- all of the struggles and triumphs; her artistic process and transitioning into the woman she was born to be. She addresses important issues on transphobia, discrimination, otherness, mental health and misogyny in society. It is heartbreaking and enlightening, funny and smart, honest and emotionally intelligent. Walk a mile in her shoes, you won’t regret it.

This was an amazing read. It takes great bravery and strength to write a book with such honesty. I admire the author for writing so candidly. This would make a great movie. A much-needed addition to your book collection.

Being cisgender, I knew very little about transgender, until I read this wonderful author. She is open and honest, and her story tugs at your heart. A very well-written book.

A very brave book that we should feel privileged to have read and that has been long overdue.

I really enjoyed this book. It was not only a great story but at the same time very informative. The best way to learn about anything is to walk in another’s shoes and this book lets you do just that.Lovely!

That’s a very interesting book!!! That should be read!!!Raw, bold and honest.

The author takes the reader through the complexities of transitioning in a painfully bold and transparent way. A fascinating memoir.

I loved this book. It was very insightful as a CIS person to help me better understand and empathize with the whole process of transitioning. My heart broke many times along the way, but I’m so happy that in the end, Joelle can finally be who she really is and that she found such amazing love.

Really interesting book. Definitely worth the read. I think that everyone who is struggling with transition or knows someone in that position could benefit from what is discussed and the perspective presented.
