First Amazon book review!

Woohooo, just received the first review of my memoirs on Amazon and it’s positive, yes! ” The author takes the reader through the complexities of transitioning in a painfully bold and transparent way. A fascinating memoir. “

Kinkalicious ( excerpt )

Kinkalicious ( excerpt ) In 2009, I participated in a three-day exhibition of my paintings in the context of the 2009 Kinkalicious event. On the first day, my art hung in Toronto’s Northbound Leather Boutique and then at a private Club.  The event was a fetish weekend of events and a play organized by Lady V. It was a three-day sexuality extravaganza; a series of workshops and parties to celebrate sexuality in all its forms. It was for kinksters to enjoy themselves but was also made so that ‘vanilla folk’… Read more Kinkalicious ( excerpt )

More than just a story

I just re-read my memoirs because it may come to be that it will evolve into a story that is showcased in a different medium. I know I have what is considered completely original true-story and that it already seems to have appeal for a variety of audiences such as female, male and other genders, for those under 25 as well as seniors. the LGBTQ+ communities, those interested in art. Basically I feel it has a wide appeal though R-rated.#Breakingfree is very much about finding oneself, of surmounting the odds,… Read more More than just a story

Silver screen potential

A few weeks ago, I offered up my story to read to a cinematographer friend, she was interested in seeing if it corresponded to something she was looking to work on. She had already wanted to work on a story of a trans woman so when I was posting on my Facebook profile that I had completed my memoirs and was about to publish, we connected and I sent her the story. After a couple of weeks, we chatted and she was in love with my story, felt it had… Read more Silver screen potential

Always count on Facebook to censor your art

It was refused because it considered sexually provocative by Facebook. Like Dawn mentioned in a post, if this were a man on that image the whole scene would have been perceived as someone who was down and out and trying to crawl out of a box, yet a woman in the same position is… Read more Always count on Facebook to censor your art

Close Call with a Cold Ending ( free peek )

When I was maybe fifteen, I was playing in our backyard on Albert Street. It had recently snowed so the ice rink that my father had made for us to play on was covered in about a foot or more of snow. It was the wet kind; perfect for making snowballs and snowmen. It packed just right and if you made a snowman, it would stay until a good thaw.  I remember this particular incident well. It was early evening, just after supper time. I was with a cousin and… Read more Close Call with a Cold Ending ( free peek )
